PRE-COATING PRODUCTS:
Developed in Laffort’s SARCO laboratory, two cellulose pre-coat products are available either in pre-mixed or pure formulation. These preparations satisfy a range of technical specifications for use.
Prior to filtration operations, the formation of pre-coat is a critical step that determines not only the effectiveness of filtration and improves the clogging index, but also the length of the filtration cycle.
CLAIRULOSE:
Made with different types of pure cellulose, ensures a perfect retention of the finest particles for improved clarification and brilliance.
Used during the pre-coat formation (400-600 g/M) or associated with diatomaceous earth (DE) or perlite.
FILT SPECIALE:
Combination of diatomaceous earth (DE) and alpha- cellulose with a high zeta potential. Ensures an adsorption capacity to improve filtration and delay clogging.
Used during pre-coat formation (600-700 g/M).
• Staple Cotton
• Alpha-cellulose fibre treated to increase electrokinetic potential
• Mixture of diatomaceous earth and perlites for a perfect retention of particles and optimal screening.
Diatomyl B and R present an absolute chemical inertia towards must and wines. They ensure better stability of the pre-coat throughout the filtration cycle.

PERL
Perlites are vitreous volcanic materials that are light weight and a have a crushed cellular structure that offer different levels of permeability.
